TOP participant 2026

TOP Week is the general introduction week for all students in Tilburg starting their studies at one of the institutions of higher education here (Tilburg University, Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Avans University of Applied Sciences). You can register for TOP Week as bachelor student, as (pre-)master student or as an exchange student. This year’s TOP Week is scheduled from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, 2026. It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the city and everything it has to offer, and thus to familiarize yourself with all the fun aspects of student life here.

You can register until Sunday August 2, 23:59. Please note: there are limited places available, so do not wait until the last minute to be sure of your ticket.

Participant registration

The registration fee of €110,- gives you access to all activities and parties during TOP Week. You will also receive dinner every night! All activities during TOP Week will make sure you get to know your new student city and that you will have the best start of your student life in Tilburg!

Charity

Each year, TOP selects a charity to support. This year’s charity is KWF (The Dutch cancer society), an organization dedicated to combating and preventing cancer through scientific research and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Make your voice heard and help ensure that cancer patients' survival rates are increased and that better care is available. Support the KWF with a small donation! Which language do you speak best?

For some international studies the groups will be mixed as much as possible based on language during TOP Week. This helps students from different backgrounds get to know each other more quickly.

New students have different reasons for participating in TOP Week. We are curious about what you want to get out of TOP Week so we can use this information to improve TOP Week. We measure this using a scale with two variables .

Culture and development: I participate in TOP Week to get to know the city of Tilburg and discover everything Tilburg has to offer as a student city regarding cultural, personal, and professional development. I would like to visit activities that focus on culture and development.
Student life and partying: I participate in TOP Week to get to know student life in Tilburg by going out and going to other festive and social activities. I would like to visit activities that focus on getting to know student life and my fellow students.

Restitution
If you register for TOP Week 2026, but decide not to participate, please cancel your registration. If you do so before July 27, 2026, your registration fee will be reimbursed in full. If you cancel from July 27, 2026 onwards, until August 2, 2026, half of the registration fee will be reimbursed. If you cancel after August 2, 2026, we cannot reimburse the registration fee, due to incurred costs that can no longer be reversed.
